You are invited to An Evening with The Ulkopolitist on Tuesday 22.1 at 6pm at Arkadia ( Nervanderinkatu 11).

The Ulkopolitist is a Finnish blog collective who tackle all topics pertaining to international relations, with the stated aim of increasing analytical discussion around the subject in Finnish. While its members are active across the whole spectrum of media, the main outlet
of the collective is its eponymous blog, which can be read at www.ulkopolitist.wordpress.com.

The theme of the evening’s talk and discussion will concern Finnish foreign policy in both a wide and narrow perspective from Finland’s role in the world to more specific and topical aspects of foreign policy-making. An introductory short talk will establish the raison d’être of the blog/collective and shed light on its background, while a Q+A following the talk will give members of the
audience a chance to comment and question the narratives presented.

The language of the event will depend on the composition of the audience, with the presenters prepared to hold the event in either Finnish or
English. We would love to have as many non-Finnish speakers as possible in order to have as many different point of views on the topic as possible, so whatever your native language, please do not hesitate to take part.
