You are invited to a kantele recital by Stäni Steinbock on Tuesday 26.2 at 6pm at Arkadia (Nervanderinkatu 11)

Stäni Steinbock is a Helsinki-born composer/musician who is known from bands like Kirppuharppu and Kra . Nowadays he lives in the Åland islands and tours Finland and Sweden playing his Kantele music under the name “The Runaway Kantele”, “Kannel karkuteillä” and “En Kantele På Rymmarstråt”.

He has composed music for a number of short films some of which he will screen on this same occasion.

Stäni will speak mostly in Swedish but will happily answer questions in Finnish or English.

Stäni’s Kantele CD “En Kantele På Rymmarstråt” has been critically acclaimed by, for instance, Ole nerdrum/HBL and Maija Pokela
/Kantele-lehti.

He’ll play with two musicians, Reijo Lainela, Guitar and Christian Starck, sampler, at the Vuotalo on the 28th of february at 7pm
