Dear friend of Arkadia, You are invited to “ The unbearable Lightness of Being a Man” a talk and debate presented by Bert Bjarland on Tuesday 30.3 at 6pm. The talk is meant to be an interactive and provocative dissection of masculinity, posing e.g. the following questions: – What is it to be a man ? – Is it light ? Unbearably light ? – Or just unbearable ? – How could we make it more bearable ? – Or even light ? Everyone is warmly invited to take part in a discussion afterwards and express his or her views. Bert Bjarland is an activist in the profeminist men’s movement, he has been leading men’s gender consciousness groups for many years, he has been actively involved in the White Ribbon anti-violence campaign and as an expert been involved in the men’s section of the Council of Gender Equality (TANE).
