Ochre Room
Their debut album Evening Coming In was released in October both in Finland and in Central-Europe and has received a high critical acclaim both in Finnish and international media.
For example Aamulehti called the album “the best music of autumn”. Helsingin Sanomat praised the album and wrote that the music of
Ochre Room is “behind it’s time in a good way”. Musically comparisons have been made to Neil Young, The Band, The
Byrds, Ryan Adams And The Cardinals and Calexico.
The band was formed in 2010 by four fellow literature students when they discovered their similar interest in old folk-rock, blues and country music. Soon after they had begun to write their own material, two more literature students joined in and Ochre Room was ready to hit
the road! The plans for the band in 2013 are: to make the second album and to tour both in Finland and in Central-Europe.
Ochre Room will play at Mbar, Helsinki on 4.12., and before that they will have a special acoustic show at Arkadia
Bookshop.
You’re most welcome!
