This is the third instalment of a series of Peruvian films that will be screened at Arkadia this Autumn.

The Vigil is a thriller film that tells the story of the relation established between two opposite characters that share an intense and strange night in today’s Lima. Edgardo Chocano, a westernized Peruvian intellectual of upper class and a violent and instinctive girl of the lower
class that is escaping the threat of a gang of criminals. Its main theme deals with the possibility of an understanding between this two contradicting characters.

Sinopsis
La Vigilia es un filme de suspenso en donde se da a conocer la relación entre dos personas de caracteres diferentes y que comparten una intensa y extraña noche en la Lima contemporánea. Edgardo Chocano, un intelectual Peruano de clase alta y de modo de vida occidentalizado y una chica violenta de clase baja que escapa de las amenazas de una banda criminal. La película gira en torno a la posibilidad de
entendimiento entre dos caracteres contradictorios.
