Dear friend of Arkadia, On Wednesday 14.4 at 6pm, a new discussion group called “Film and Architecture” will begin. Drawings, photographs and text are the media we typically use to document the built environment; however, there is a growing interest in the use of film (www.smibe.org). Does film reveal new perspectives on architecture, urban planning and landscape architecture and how do these subjects influence the making of films? One or two short films will be shown at each session followed by an open discussion. This group will meet once a month and it is hoped that those interested in participating can attend this first session.
