by Autogestion Project CollectiveDear friends, the present is a complicated time in a complicated world. Economic crisis, super power armies, popular uprisings and reggaeton are taking over the world as we know it. There was a time when a few men shouted out loud for liberty, sung songs of freedom and victory, even at the cost of their lives. That mysticism has been deformed into posters, bad movies and questionable interpretations of the causes for which to fight.
“Lessons from the future” is a cultural event with the ambitious purpose of bringing together some of those readings, songs and images of fight, resistance and revolution.
Nowadays pragmatic audiences demand easy messages. We merely offer a summary of memories that intends to illuminate the present and foresee the past.
The program is performed live and includes:
Popular Songs from Latin America
Monologues and Readings
Autogestion Project Collective:
Marcos Almeyda (Artificial Effects)
Mr. Luja (Monoliths and Souvenirs)
Miss Minmei (Raw Fish and Cocktails)
Hasta la victoria, siempre!
