Wednesday 17.8 at 6pm: “Thinking Architecturally” by architect Paul Righini

Dear friend of Arkadia, You are heartily invited to ‘Thinking Architecturally’ by architect and teacher Paul Righini on Wednesday 17.8 at 6pm. The talk, by Paul Righini, author of Thinking Architecturally, will explore the nature and evolution of architectural thinking and the difficulties in teaching creative design . It is also a presentation of where Architectural ideas come from and what defines good Architecture. The talk will be in English. All are most welcome! Paul Righini is a South African Architect and former Studio Master at the School of Architecture and Planning at the University of Cape Town, where he taught design for over 30 years. At the School of Architecture he initiated the first courses on alternate technology in 1976 and was particularly concerned with developing educational strategies for teaching students of mixed ability. He also taught History of Modern Art at the Michaelis School of Fine Art at the University of Cape Town.
