John Van Deusen sang and played for indie rock band The Lonely Forest (2004-2014) with albums produced by Death Cab For Cutie’s Chris Walla.  A native of island town Anacortes, Washington (home of The Microphones/Mount Eerie), Van Deusen was named as the best male vocalist by Seattle Weekly in 2011.  He recently released his first solo album (I Am) Origami Pt.1 – The Universal Sigh, with more albums to follow soon on his homemade label Monopath Records and/or Germany’s DevilDuck Records.

John Ringhofer has released albums under the Half-handed Cloud name since 1999, a year after he got a degree in painting.  He takes an art school approach to music, filtered through his love for ’60s pop melodies, thrift store culture, pocket-symphony arrangements, biblical texts, a DIY indie rock aesthetic, and lo-fi tape experiments.  He was a member of Sufjan Stevens’ performing band 2004-2005 (during the Illinois, Michigan, & Seven Swans era), and all his albums have been released on Sufjan’s own Asthmatic Kitty Records.  Ringhofer moved from California to Helsinki at the beginning of 2015.
