Invitation / Short selection of the Arkadia book collection (see at the bottom of the page) Dear friend of Arkadia, You are heartily invited to attend “Sierra Leone: Blood, Diamonds and Tears?” by photographer Natalia Baer on Wednesday 23.2 at 6pm. http://www.keksit.fi/ Natalia embarked on a two week journey across Sierra Leone after having been told countless “to be careful” prior to leaving. What was the result? She has brought back photos that are surprising, arresting and illuminating. Civil war torn Sierra Leone is at the threshold of a new era. The people of this country, one of the very least developed in the world, have a strong vision of how the future society will function and are readily contributing to it.
