 Dear friend of Arkadia, You are invited to an ‘Open mic poetry and music’ event presented by Dalila Akkal, on Wednesday 28.9 at 6pm.This event is an opportunity for anyone to perform in a relaxed atmosphere and a friendly audience. Whether you are a confirmed poet or musician, or simply someone who writes poetry or plays of an instrument (or sings) but has never dared to share these talents with anyone, this is absolutely your time and you are most welcome! Others are most welcome as well. Warm regards, Ian Entrance is free and green tea will be offered. A donation of €2 (or more!) to fund the event is suggested and would be most welcome! Here are some guidelines for this event: Try to be there just before 6pm to sign up and insure you will be able to perform. Bring 1 or 2 poems of yours or your instrument (piano available onsite). You will have about 5 min to present your bio and poems/music. Performance can be in any language. If you are interested in participating, please send an email to Arkadia, so we can plan how many seats will be needed. Dalila Akkal is an international neuroscientist who obtained her Ph.D in France, completed her postdoctoral studies in the United States, and more recently worked as a senior scientist in Helsinki at Aalto University. Dalila contributed to the fields of movement control, Psychiatric disorders and more recently Neurocinematics. She has lived in Helsinki for 2 past years. On her free time, she is also a poet and photographer.
