The refined, bright, deep and beautiful voice of Janneke Moes creates an interesting contrast with the instruments which tend to be darker and rhythmical.

Linea 9

The members of Linea 9 come from very different musical backgrounds and have been influenced by different musical influences, such as tango, folk, jazz, pop and classical music.

We make our own arrangements of old classical pieces, while respecting the traditional masters we add our fresh and personal colours. Even though the combination of double bass and bandoneon is not commonly known in Finland, it is widely used among Argentinian tango musician. This combination creates the atmosphere of chamber music and preserves its popular background.

Our approach to tango is not as a dead music that we recreate, but we take it as our own language, where we can express our musical ideas with freedom and passion.
