Jan Blomstedt will be interviewed by filmmaker-photographer-writer Rax Rinnekangas. The public is also heartily invited to ask questions. The event is exceptional and commemorates the 100th anniversary of Akseli Gallen-Kallela’s African journey. The talk will be in Finnish but questions may be asked in Swedish and English. Join us! Jan Blomstedt, a singular novelist and essayist who calls himself “an unestablished pick-pocket of established history”, is related to the Gallėn family through his grandmother. Lurra editions has now the pleasure of unveiling the hitherto unknown work of the young art-student Gallėn. Jan Blomstedtin teos on mielikuvituksella myötäelävä kuvaus legendaarisen maalarin tunnoista ja seikkailuista brittien hallitsemassa Keniassa 1900-luvun alkupuolella.
